Tourmaline comes in many colours each of which has their own name. these include, Blue Tourmaline, Multicored Tourmaline (two colours), Rubellite Tourmaline (vivid red), Green Tourmaline, Paraiba Tourmaline (aquamarine/ turquoise shades) and Yellow Tourmaline (aka canary tourmalines).
Muliticoloured tourmaline is also sometimes called watermelon tourmaline is its most common colours are pink and green, which together look like a slice of watermelon.
When purchasing tourmaline you will find blue most expensive, followed by green and rubellite. Large pieces are relatively common compared to some other gemstones, though large desirable pieces will still cost you accordingly if the quality is right.
